August 2023 has been designated as National Black Business Month to recognize the achievements of African-American-owned businesses and to encourage continued economic growth and success within the Black community. The month provides an opportunity to honor the many successes of Black-owned businesses and to encourage further investment in these businesses.
Activities during the month include virtual forums, workshops, events, and awards to recognize the contributions of African American business owners.
One of the greatest ways to support a black-owned business, without any financial commitment, is to share their post or take a genuine interest in the problem they’re seeking to solve.
SHFS is taking on a more active role in sharing resources that could help advance AA businesses. More to follow in the coming weeks.
