From Army Captain
To Corporate Executive
To Serial Entrepreneur
Shateka attended South Carolina State University while simultaneously serving in the US Army Reserves. During this time she became a parachutist, where her first 5 times ever flying on an aircraft is when she was the first to jump each time and landing like a feather.
Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Management, she was immediately commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army in the role of Quartermaster Officer. Soon after, Shateka experienced her first international flight, destined for Germany, which began her tour of active duty. Her Army officer role immediately allowed her to experience high level logistics and leadership development where she fast tracked to the role of Captain in less than 3.5 years. Her tour included multiple deployments to include Hungary, Kuwait, and Baghdad, in support of Operation Joint Guard and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Fellow alumni, veterans, and business colleagues know Shateka Husser as a laser focused professional, volunteer, and community activist with a sense of humor and charisma. This Charleston, South Carolina native traveled across the globe serving our country, serving as a corporate leader for big box retail giant, Walmart, and finally worldwide online store, Amazon. She’s now settled in Baltimore, MD where her inspiration for full time entrepreneurship was birthed.
Shateka’s desire for personal and professional growth caused her quantum leap into a more challenging role of serial entrepreneur. She continues expanding her real estate investment firm, Husser Properties LLC where she primarily helps individuals seeking real estate solutions, at no cost. She also provides life strategy sessions and online programs for individuals seeking next level promotion, transitioning careers or employers, relocating to a new environment, or simply looking to start a new business or grow their existing business through her coaching and consulting firm, SHE (Shateka Husser Enterprises) Inspires.
